Plain-English summary

KBeautyMatch earns commission when you click a product link on our site and then buy something from the retailer. It costs you nothing extra — the retailer pays us a small share of what they would have spent on advertising. That commission is how this site stays free to use.

1. What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a web link that includes a tracking identifier. When you click one on KBeautyMatch and complete a purchase at the retailer, the retailer credits KBeautyMatch with referring you and pays us a commission on that sale.

The price you pay is the retailer’s normal price. You are not charged anything extra for using our link, and we never see your payment details or personal account data at the retailer.

2. Which retailers we work with

KBeautyMatch links to products at the following retailers. Most of these relationships are affiliate relationships; a few are plain referral links with no commission. We update this list as partnerships change.

  • LookFantastic: UK skincare retailer. Affiliate via Awin or Skimlinks.
  • Boots UK: UK high-street pharmacy. Affiliate via Awin or Skimlinks.
  • Olive Young Global: Korean retailer shipping to the UK. Direct affiliate programme.
  • Jolse: Korean retailer shipping globally. Affiliate via Awin or Skimlinks.
  • Amazon UK: Affiliate via Skimlinks or no commission.
  • StyleKorean: Korean retailer. Affiliate via Skimlinks or direct.

3. Affiliate networks we use

We use third-party affiliate networks to manage commercial tracking. These networks may set cookies in your browser when you click outbound links.

  • Skimlinks (a Taboola company): Automatically affiliates outbound retailer links across a network of 48,500+ merchants.
  • Awin: Network used for direct partnerships with specific UK retailers.
  • Direct programmes: Some retailers (e.g. Olive Young Global) run their own affiliate programmes.

4. Editorial independence

Commercial arrangements do not influence our product recommendations. Specifically:

  • Brands cannot pay to be included in KBeautyMatch.
  • Retailers cannot pay for higher ranking in Skin Match results.
  • Our Skin Match algorithm uses only your skin profile and each product’s stated suitability — commission rates are not a variable.
  • We link to retailers that offer the product, not the retailers that pay us the most.

5. Regulatory compliance

This disclosure is provided in compliance with:

  • UK ASA / CAP Code: The UK Advertising Standards Authority requires clear labelling of commercial relationships on editorial websites.
  • CMA guidance: The Competition and Markets Authority guidance on hidden advertising and consumer protection.
